Connection brings personal contact to life
And that’s when the true communication that’s essential to any process begins.
Music is an amazingly powerful tool for working on mutual connections. If everyone stays on their own island the music doesn’t come to life, so you need to work at it. The results are audible, and physically tangible, and that gives a tremendous kick, especially for people who are doing it for the first time.
‘What a musical talent, everyone really let themselves go! This percussion workshop was the ultimate connection.’
With Drums and Barrels I give percussion workshops for companies together with Hermine Schneider. Drums and Barrels specialises in inspiring, motivating and exciting people through dynamic percussion workshops. We invite people to forge new connections by making music together; providing new insights and firing the imagination. The result? Fresh, revitalised contact, where things really start to happen!
Communication and leadership training
True contact is tangible and unmistakeable. There’s no substitute for the real thing! Connection excites and inspires. In our communication training sessions with music-making we make this power a reality, and use it to actively enhance cooperation. You feel the effect immediately – non-verbally – of connecting in the collaboration (or not!). And you experience directly what you as an individual can do about it.
Part of the magic of music is that you immediately hear what is happening. For yourself as a player and for the listener. You don’t make music in the long term, you make music in the here and now. So you can get down to it straight away.
I present the TamTam Team Training together with Anky Mager, a trainer in communication and cooperation, and working as a certified trainer and (team) coach with companies including Schouten & Nelissen.
